Say hello to Tiffany, the most beautiful pregnant woman I know, who also just happens to be my baby cousin. Luckily for Tiffany and I, we just happen to be in North Carolina on the same week and was able to sneak in some fun family time and of course capture that adorable baby bump of hers. The weather was definitely not cooperating with us most of the week, so on a cloudy Wednesday we headed off to Emerald Isle to capture a few pixels between the rain drops. As things would have it, it stopped raining from the moment we got there till nightfall, which worked out perfectly.

In this session I wanted to incorporate Tiffany’s husband, unfortunately he is deployed with the 24th MEU serving in foreign waters. So on to the next best thing, we got his most official picture, cammie blouse and dog tags and made some beautiful images. Although LCpl Price will miss the birth of this baby, I hope to be there to capture those joyous moments when they first meet in November.

I think it is super amazing to capture these moments for my clients but even better when it’s for family. Being a birth and portrait photographer is one of the most rewarding and amazing jobs out there. I get the privilege of documenting people’s lives at some of the most amazing moments in time. When client’s call about sessions, I always try to remind them that these are the moments and we each only have a few, so make sure to take time to capture-everyday.
