Newborn Safety 101

Keeping the smallest of clients safe

 Most people don’t know just how much work goes into a newborn photography session. A lot of client don’t know or understand the safety precautions that need to be done during the session in order to keep the babies safe. Lots of holding, fixing, adjusting and propping up goes on to keep the babies from being injured. Countless hours can go into figuring out new ways to keep newborn clients safe. Whether it be using bean bags and blankets to prop them up, or having a parents hand wrapped in material to conceal that they are actually holding baby tightly.

There is so much to keeping a baby safe that new photographers haven’t been taught or do not think of.  Some see amazing photographs online and think that they were taken as they see them. Newborn Safety is the most important thing, it comes way before a great photograph. You can not expect an amazing photo to not have any extra work put into it. Let’s face it, newborns can be wiggle worms and the last thing any photographer would want is to injure the most precious client. Newborn safety 101 classes are great for any level of photographer looking to make sure that client safety is at the top of their list.

Luckily the amazing Charlyne of Charlyne Lees Photography and Studio Four have teamed up to offer a Newborn Safety 101 course. Open to the public, anyone from a beginner wanting to start out or an experienced photographer wanting to get into newborn photography is welcome to attend. It will be held October 11, 2014 at Studio Four in Cape Coral, Fl from two to three thirty pm.
